Accessibility

AMC Ready is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Exam preparation is hard enough without the software making it harder, and a candidate who needs a screen reader or a keyboard is sitting the same paper as everyone else.

What this means in practice

• Every question, explanation and mock can be worked through with a keyboard alone, including the question palette and flagging.
• Correct and incorrect answers, and mastery states, are always given in words as well as colour.
• Text can be resized to 200 per cent without losing content or function.
• The timer in a mock announces at milestones rather than every second, so a screen reader is not flooded.
• Motion respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.

Known limitations

Full mock exams are usable on a phone but a larger screen is recommended, and we say so rather than blocking it. Where a question carries an image, the image is described in text, but a question that turns on reading that image will be harder without sight of it.
